Itinerary

  • Our Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu by Train Tour starts with a hotel pickup in Cusco at either 7 or 8 a.m. You'll visit as first place Cochahuasi Animal Sanctuary to learn more about our fauna, a lookout point for amazing views of the Sacred Valley, Pisaq Market, and Pisaq Inca Archeological site before stopping for lunch in Urubamba. Then, you'll explore the Inca ruins in Ollantaytambo before catching your train to Aguas Calientes. The train ride is just under two hours, descending into the Cloud Forest. You'll see beautiful orchids, bromeliads, and ferns along the train way; once you arrive at the train station in Aguas Calientes Town, you will get the way to your hotel.

  • For your visit to Machu Picchu, we will welcome you at your hotel the night before and will inform you the best start time for the excursion. Early in the morning you will walk to the bus station and after a 25-minute bus ride to the site, visitors will embark on a two-hour walking tour with their guide, exploring the citadel's famous attractions. Following the tour, visitors will have free time to explore the ruins independently, including the option to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain if reservations were secured in advance. After leaving Machu Picchu, you will take a bus back to Aguas Calientes for lunch before departing to Ollantaytambo. Your driver will meet you and drive you to your hotel or home stay in Cusco.

    Hotel, 3. stars hotel in Aguas Calientes, based in doble room, you will be informed and aditional of $50 in case you request a single room.

    All Transportation is included in the entire trip. You will go by car to Ollantaytambo; after dinner, you will go to the Expedition train station and use this Transportation to Aguas Calientes. The next day bus tickets will be at your disposal to reach the city of Machupicchu. The return by bus, train, and car to Cusco is included.

    Note: Your train back to Ollantaytambo will be the vistadome included in this trip.

    Meals: As included in the Sacred Valley tour, guests will receive sustenance thrice: a midday meal during excursion hours, an evening repast at an Ollantaytambo eatery, and finally, breakfast provided by your hotel.

    Bus Tickets: up and down tickets to get and leave Machupicchu Inca Site; it takes 50 minutes both ways.

  • Huayna Picchu mountain: Located north of Machu Picchu. To reach the top, there is a 45-minute walk through a dense forest and a challenging climb up steps, which may not be suitable for those with a fear of heights. If you are up for the challenge, you can do this walk after your Machu Picchu tour for an additional cost of $80. Due to its popularity, reservations should be made at least six weeks in advance.

    Travel Insurance: Trip insurance is the responsibility of each member. It must cover all risks associated with the mountaineering activity up to a minimum altitude of 5300 meters for the duration of the trip. We will solicitude full insurance details to have in our registration or use it to cover eventualities. Passengers should also carry a complete printed copy of their policy to ensure that is properly protected against unforeseen events they may experience during your trip.

    Tips: Appreciating the services of our staff in any of our tours with tips is a custom in the tourist space nowadays; however, you may consider based on how you rate the guide, and others’ service and your satisfaction level.

    Meal: Is not included lunch after your visit to Machupicchu, your guide will suggest restaurants in Aguas Calientes Town and different options around the place.

  • We will hold briefings in our office at 7:00 p.m. the night before the tour to ensure you have all the necessary information and supplies before your trip. However, if this schedule does not work for you, feel free to reach out to a representative from our office to request a different time that fits your availability. These briefings usually last between half an hour and 45 minutes.

  • We will pick you up directly from your hotel ; The pick-up time will be defined in the briefing that you will have in advance with your local tour guide.

    Our minimum age requirement for children is one year old when the tour begins. Parents or legal guardians are 100% responsible for the care and supervision of the children during the entire voyage.

    It is important to consider that children must have full medical insurance to travel with us. On the other hand, those over 18 years of age do not need to have a legal guardian, as this age has been established as the limit for unsupervised travel.

    Also, we remind again that the equipment must be appropriate to the size of the child, whether clothing or accessories (for example, hats, scarves, hats, or baby carriers). We want to ensure safety and comfort for both adults and children throughout the tour.

  • To enter and leave Peru, you need a passport valid for six months from when you enter Peru. It is important to carry at least three photocopies of your passport.

    When you go to Machu Picchu, you will have to take your original passport with you because it is mandatory according to the Ministry of Culture that administers this destination; at the same time, you can purchase the stamp of Machu Picchu and take this souvenir once you want.

Additional activities:

  • Huaynapicchu Mountain:  Huayna Picchu is at an altitude of 2700 masl; it is a unique experience; it takes 45 minutes to get to the top; once your guide shows you the journey starting point and a ticket, we can secure you in advance, you will enjoy the beauty of Huaynapicchu by yourself without any pressure. We recommend the Second Session from 10 AM - 11 AM so your Machu Picchu tour is not compromised.
    The additional cost is USD 80 per person.

  • Machupicchu Mountain: The Machupicchu Mountain is at an altitude of 3082 masl; the view is so impressive that you can enjoy the Machupicchu ruins from a new perspective.
    The maximum time to ascend and descend this mountain, taking Machupicchu ruins as a reference base is 3 hours. The trail is well-defined and uphill mainly but less steep than Huaynapicchu; however, some physical exercise is required before choosing this hike.
